Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with gold.  The philosophy behind kintsugi is to value an object's beauty, as well as its imperfections, focusing on them equally as something to celebrate, not disguise. I’m offering up a few pieces where I have employed Kintsugi.  Gold or white gold highlight both the flaws and the beauty of each mug.  I hope they remind you to let the light in. These pieces are functional, and the cracks mended by gold are cosmetic flaws. No two mugs are exactly alike’ The gold overglazes are food safe, but should not be microwaved. These finishes will last longer if the piece is handwashed and not placed in the microwave.

Mugs are approximately 4.25 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide, and hold between 16-18 fluid ounces.

As each piece is handmade, there may be small differences in appearance and size than what appears in the photo.
