Nautilus Large Shallow Bowl in Blue

Handmade sgraffito pottery bowl with a nautilus design in a clear blue glaze. Nature comes to life with this bold graphical representation of nautilus winding its way outward on a large shallow bowl. The ceramic bowl was handbuilt, then sgraffito carved through black underglaze. The entire piece was glazed in a transparent blue aqua glaze to give an extra pop of color. These organic spirals found in nature have always fascinated me.

The large bowl measures 13 inches wide and about 3 inches tall. Button feet and a hanging loop adorn the bottom. Stoneware is microwave and dishwasher safe. All glazes I use are food safe.
